Tight sections at the end of the road
Huia is small, and the properties there are well kept but limited in off-street space. A boat or trailer that spends most of its life parked is taking up the space you would rather use for something else.
Storing it at the yard keeps the section clear and the boat looked after, with the added benefit that it is on level ground when you come to hook up.
Worth the drive in
It is a longer trip to the yard from Huia than from anywhere else on our list, so owners here usually plan around longer stays: booked for a season, collected for the good weather, returned at the end of it.
